Stella Stray Pop is a late-night radio show on KXLU 88.9 FM in Los Angeles that plays punk rock. DJ Stella has been playing punk rock on the show since 1980, when she first introduced listeners to “Stray Pop”. The show airs on Fridays from 11 PM–3 AM (PDT) and on Mondays from 2–6 AM (PDT) with encores from the Stray Pop archives.

Led by Stella’s music and conversation on the show, “Stray Pop” has become an alternative for listeners who want something more edgy than daytime programming. Stella has also helped other shows cater to the underground rock movements. She’s talked with artists, authors and historians, creating an expanded definition of just what the term punk rock disc jockey really means. And she’s been doing it for over 25 years!
