“Requiem For A Remix” Release Weekend A Wrap
The release weekend for the new Heathen Apostles remix album Requiem For A Remix went insanely well as was hoped. Thursday saw the release of the Requiem promo video (watch it HERE), Friday evening included an appearance on 88.9 KXLU’s Stella Stray Pop show followed by a visit to DJ Meikee Magnetic at The Happy Haus night. The weekend capped off with the Heathens playing Bar Sinister in Hollywood, thanks to all that tuned in, rocked out and have been supporting the Heathen Apostles throughout the years. Requiem For A Remix CD Out Now
The new Heathen Apostles remix album Requiem For A Remix CD is out today, it features remixes by Chopper Franklin, Almighty Watching and the Phantom of the Black Hills, also a cover of the Echo & the Bunnymen classic The Killing Moon, as well as a Mather Louth demo of Boot Hill Hymnal‘s The Dark Pines. Fire To The Fuse was produced by Chopper Franklin and will be out Halloween day on Ratchet Blade Records. The 4 song EP Evil Spirits is out today on Ratchet Blade Records, it was tracked with Jyrki 69 of 69 Eyes and 69 Cats reknown, check it out HERE and help support our recordings and videos. The band will be getting back to shooting the Fist City video with Harmony Gerber as director of photography and finishing the new album for its Halloween release.

Songs from the upcoming Evil Spirits EP, out August 25th on Ratchet Blade Records, are streaming in full from now until the day of the release. Mather Louth (Radio Noir), Chopper Franklin (The Cramps) and Luis Mascaro team with the 69 Eyes vocalist Jyrki 69 for 4 dark roots tunes that combine gothic imagery and acoustic roots music featuring violin, banjo and mandolin.

“Evil Spirits” EP Cover Art Revealed
The Heathen Apostles have teamed up with the Helsinki vampire himself of 69 Eyes and 69 Cats fame, Jyrki 69 to release a special 4-track EP Evil Spirits on Ratchet Blade Records. The EP features two duets with lead Heathen vocalist Mather Louth, as well as two other killer tracks with Jyrki and Mather each taking the lead vocals. The EP will be available on August 28th, and those of you that will be at the 69 Cats shows in Finland can snag an early copy! Cover tintype by the amazing Allan Barnes.

A new Heathen Apostles 4 song EP will be released Tuesday August 25th and it will feature Jyki 69 on guest vocals. Jyrki is Chopper’s bandmate in the 69 Cats and is the long time lead vocalist for the Finnish goth n roll band the 69 Eyes. Jyrki will sing two duets with Mather, and each will sing lead with the other singing backups on the other two songs. Ratchet Blade Records will release the EP on CD and digitally, check back for more info.

The Heathen Apostles have wrapped the shoot for the video for the upcoming Fool’s Gold single (both single and video due June 26th on Ratchet Blade Records).
