Principal photography on the upcoming Death Came a Ridin’ music video has wrapped, the Heathen Apostles would like to thank the many cast and crew members that participated in this epic production. The Death Came a Ridin’ music video is the first from the forthcoming Bloodgrass Vol. I & II album, out July 20th on LP & CD on Ratchet Blade Records

The Bloodgrass Vol. I & II album will consist of the two digital-only EPs released in 2017 and 2018, and will be available on the band’s European tour, starting August 3rd in Essen, Germany. Check back for more info and links.

The music video for Death Came a Ridin’  has begun, it is the first video and single from the upcoming Bloodgrass Vol. I & II album, out on LP & CD on July 20th on Ratchet Blade Records. The Death Came a Ridin’ video is being directed by Ashley Joncas and will be debuted to coincide with the release of the Bloodgrass Vol. I & II album. Paint the Stars Video and Bloodgrass Vol. II Pre Sale Launched

Paint the Stars video Today the Heathen Apostles Paint the Stars video launches, along with the pre-sale for the Bloodgrass Vol. II EP (out 3/25/18 on Ratchet Blade Records). Heathen Apostles’ Paint the Stars Video Coming May 21st

The release date for the Heathen Apostles’ new music video Paint the Stars has been announced. The Jorge Jaramillo directed video will debut on Monday May 21st, it is the first video from the upcoming Bloodgrass Vol. II EP, out Friday May 25th on Ratchet Blade Records. Jorge Jaramillo to Direct “Paint the Stars” Video

The Heathen Apostles are collaborating with Colombian filmmaker Jorge Jaramillo on the music video for the upcoming single “Paint the Stars”. Jorge has long been on the cutting edge of film production and stereoscopic animation, and is a good friend of the band. You can see some of his work HERE.

“Paint the Stars” is  the first offering the upcoming Bloodgrass Vol. II EP, due for release on May 25th on Ratchet Blade Records. Check back for the EP’s release date and more info on the “Paint the Stars” video shoot and release.

Heathen Apostles Live Video

Here’s a quick video of three songs from the Heathen Apostles Friday the 13th show earlier this month at the Redwood. It was one of their acoustic quartet shows where they are able to play both their gothic country and traditional bluegrass songs. This line up will be touring Europe in 2018, check back for more details.

Heathen Apostles Collaborate in new POTBH Video

The new Phantom of the Black Hills hellbilly video for Wild Witch of the West is live, it is the first music video from the new Phantom of the Black Hills album Scalped, out 8/25/17 on Ratchet Blade Records. It was directed by Chopper Franklin and features Mather Louth from the Heathen Apostles. Wild Witch of the West is an unofficial sequel to the Heathen Apostles video for Fist City, and contains footage from that video shot by Harmony Gerber.

“Wild Witch of the West” Video to Feature Mather

The new Phantom of the Black Hills music video for Wild Witch of the West features the Heathen Apostles’ Mather Louth, who also sang on the song. The video debuts Friday August 11th and the album Scalped releases on August 25th on Ratchet Blade Records. Check back for links and more details.

“Strange Flowers” Single and Video Debuts Today

The new Heathen Apostles’ single Strange Flowers is available today, along with the music  video for the song. Pre-Production Begins For “Strange Flowers” Video

Pre-production has begun for the new video for the upcoming Heathen Apostles single Strange Flowers, on Ratchet Blade Records. The video will be directed by the band and will be shot over two weeks in April, check back for a release date for both the video and single.

Heathen Apostles Filming In Salem, Massachusetts

  Happy New Year to all! Mather Louth and Chopper Franklin have spent part of the holiday in Salem, Massachusetts filming footage for an upcoming video project. They shot at Proctor’s Ledge, recently discovered as the actual site of the Salem Witch Trial hangings, and the Burying Point, the Salem graveyard where several participants in the Salem Witch Trials are buried. Check back for more details on this video and its release date.

The Passing of “Misery & Gin” Video Star Luz

Luz, who was one of the actors in the Heathen Apostles’ Misery & Gin music video, passed away on November 18th. Here are comments from Mather and Chopper:

Mather: Completely in shock…rest in peace, talented and gentle soul. I will never forget how much you said you loved our version of Misery and Gin, and how it made you cry….I am crying for you now. Thank you for giving us your artistry- this video will seek to offer you a small sense of immortality.

Chopper: Just lost a good friend, Luz starred in the last Heathen Apostles video and nailed two parts like they were nothing. Good bye my man… 


Video Shoot For “Albatross” Single

The video shoot for the promo video for the upcoming Heathen Apostles single Albatross is under way, it is being shot in sea caves up the California coast and also features underwater video shot in Hollywood, Ca. The Albatross single will be out on Friday December 9th on Ratchet Blade Records.

“Misery and Gin” Video Is Now Live

The video for the new Heathen Apostles’ EP “Misery and Gin” (their tribute to the late, great Merle Haggard) is now live, the release will be out July 22nd, 2016 on Ratchet Blade Records. The “Misery and Gin” music video is another one of their Victorian tales of the Gothic Wild West.

It was shot in 110 degree heat in Palmdale, Ca. by Lawrence Drayton and will be released shortly. The band will be shooting the full length music video beginning June 27th and the Misery and Gin EP will be released on July 22nd on Ratchet Blade Records. Check back for more details.

The new Heathen Apostles Murderer of Souls (Chopper Franklin remix) music video has dropped, it was directed by the band and shot by Harmony Gerber at Devil’s Doghouse Studios. As you can probably tell it was great fun for the band to shoot, it is the first video from the new Requiem For A Remix album (Ratchet Blade Records), you can sample it HERE. “Drowned In Trouble” Promo Video Live

Ratchet Blade Records has released a promo short of the song Drowned in Trouble from the 2015 Heathen Apostles album Fire To The Fuse.
